    Community Service Programme

    The College is developing diverse opportunities for students to broaden their life experience through local community service.

    All students in Years 5 - 8 are expected to be involved so they can truly understand what it means to serve others. This will involve students in Years 5 and 6 participating in 25 hours of community service for the year, while students in Year 7 and 8 will participate in 35 hours of service.

    The aims of the programme are for each student at the College to:

  • develop a broader awareness of their College, local and international community;
  • understand and appreciate the value of volunteer work;
  • develop an empathy and understanding of other people regardless of their personal circumstances; and
  • better appreciate and value their personal and family circumstances.
  • Each student's willingness and involvement in the Community Service Programme will be recognised on their semester and annual reports. Parents are welcome to become involved.
