Our Book Week Parade this week had it all: a little magic, a few ‘wild’ animals, plenty of creativity and one very impressive Oxford Junior Dictionary! Widely regarded as the most colourful event on the Primary School calendar, the parade was a wonderful celebration of the stories that capture our imaginations and the characters we love to meet along the way.
There were princes and princesses, dinosaurs and unicorns, crayons, robots, Snow White’s dwarves, Willy Wonka and Grug, alongside a very healthy-looking fruit and vegetable ‘platter’. Even Grogu joined the fun, ‘floating’ through the parade in inflatable form.
Our amazing staff embraced the occasion too, stepping out as characters from ‘The Very Clever Bear’, ‘Monkey Puzzle’, ‘Sid the Seagull’, ‘The Pigeon Has to Go to School’ and many more. Our Executive team certainly understood the assignment, with Mr Bump, Mr Clever and Mr Strong bringing their ‘larger-than-life’ personalities to the festivities. With ‘Symphony of Stories’ as this year’s theme, our students and staff certainly created a chorus of costumes, joy and wonder.
