It was a memorable day for our Year 12 Prefects as they attended the annual Prefect Commissioning Service with the Archbishop of Sydney, The Most Reverend Kanishka Raffel, on Thursday. Our Prefects were among more than 700 student leaders from Anglican schools across the Diocese who filled St Andrew’s Cathedral, marking a momentous milestone in their 2026 leadership journey.
During the service, the Archbishop encouraged students to serve with humility, valuing others above themselves and, according to Paul’s word in Philippians 2:3, “not looking to your own interests, but each of you to the interests of others”. It was an important message for our students to take away as they reflected on the responsibility and privilege of leadership. We know they will continue to lead our College community with compassion, commitment and courage, always looking to God for His love and guidance.
