The College congratulates Ms Tierney Gibbens, one of our talented Visual Arts teachers, who has been selected as a finalist in the Georges River Art Prize for her captivating painting Shift (oil on canvas). This biennial art competition serves as a platform for artists from across Australia to showcase their finest creations.

Ms Gibbens is an outstanding teacher in the realm of portraiture artistry, and her exceptional contributions to the development of the art course ‘The Human Form’ were recently highlighted in the insightful article, The Power of Portraiture.

Ms Gibbens’ selection as a finalist in the Georges River Art Prize is the latest recognition for this gifted artist and dedicated teacher.

The Georges River Art Prize exhibition runs from 28 October to 18 January 2024 at the Hurstville Museum and Gallery.
